2009 FIRST TIME HOMEBUYER TAX CREDIT:

1.  The tax credit is for first time homebuyers only. Purchaser and purchaser's spouse may

     not have owned a principal residence in 3 years previous to purchase.

2.  The tax credit is equal to 10 % of the home's purchase price, up to a maximum of $8000.

3.  The tax credit does not have to be repaid.

4.  The tax credit is available for homes purchased from Jan 1, 2009 to Dec 1, 2009.

5.  Full amount of credit available for individuals with adjusted gross income of no more than

     $75,000 ($150,000 joint return) and phases out above those caps ($95,000-$170,000).

6.  If home is sold within 3 years of purchase, entire amount of credit is recaptured on sale. 

7.  Any single family principal residence is eligible.
